Ingredients
INGREDIENTS
-16 ounces tofu, drainedMARINADE
-1 tablespoon sesame oil-1/4 cup soy sauce
-1 tablespoon rice vinegar
-2 tablespoons brown sugar
-3 tablespoons orange juice
-2 tablespoons shallot, minced
-1 teaspoon ginger, minced
-1 tablespoon garlic, minced
-Zest of 1 orange
-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
OPTIONAL
-2 tablespoons grapeseed oil for searingPreparation Method
- Combine all of the marinade ingredients.
- Place the tofu and marinade into a vacuum bag.
- Seal the bag on vacuum level 3.
- Allow to marinate for 2-4 hours or overnight, if desired.
SUGGESTED COOKING METHOD
- Remove the tofu from the vacuum seal bag, discard any excess marinade, and pat dry.
- Slice the tofu into pieces of the desired size.
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil and sear the tofu for 3-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the tofu from the pan and drain briefly on a paper towel.
